SAMBA, Sept 13: Continuing its drive against drug smugglers and peddlers, Samba Police has arrested a drug peddler in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Bari Brahmana and recovered approximately 450 grams of Ganja like substance from his possession.
Police said a team of Police Station (PS) Bari Brahmana while performing naka duty near Eveready Factory Kalagate Bari Brahmana, intercepted a pedestrian under suspicious circumstances who was coming from industrial area towards Kalagate. During frisking, approximately 450 grams Ganja like substance recovered from the possession of said person.
It said the drug peddler identified as Tarloki Kumar, son of Ram Dev Singh of Pipar Panti district Khaagaria (Bihar) at present Railway Station, Bari Brahmana has been arrested and the contraband item has also been seized.
A case FIR No 135/2025 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Bari Brahmana and investigation started, police said.
The arrest was made under the overall supervision of SSP Samba Virinder Manhas.
