SAMBA, Feb 16: Continuing its drive against drug smugglers and peddlers, Samba police has arrested a lady drug peddler in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS), Vijaypur and recovered approximately 6.40 grams heroin- (Chitta) along with one weighing machine from her possession.
A police spokesman said a team of Police Station (PS) Vijaypur during naka checking at Rakh Barotain road near AIIMS residence complex Vijaypur, intercepted a pedestrian who was moving under suspicious circumstances. During frisking, approximately 6.40 grams of heroin- and one weighing machine were recovered from her possession. The lady drug peddler identified as Soma Bibi, wife of Jamat Ali of Rakh Barotian, tehsil Vijaypur district Samba has been arrested and the contraband item has also been seized.
A case FIR No 27/2026 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Vijaypur and investigation started.
