SAMBA, Sept 12: Continuing its drive against drug smugglers/peddlers, Samba police has arrested one drug peddler in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Vijaypur and recovered approximately five grams of heroin (Chitta) like substance from his possession.
A police party of Police Station (PS) Vijaypur during vehicle checking at AIIMS Naka Vijaypur, intercepted a Motorcycle bearing registration number CH01AN-3833 for its checking. During frisking of the motorcyclist, approximately five grams of heroin like substance was recovered from his possession.
The drug peddler identified as Vijay Kumar, son of Roop Lal of W. No. 1 Ramgarh Tehsil Ramgarh, District Samba has been arrested and contraband item has been seized. The motorcycle has also been seized in the instant case.
A case FIR No. 92/2025 U/S 8/21/22/25 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Vijaypur and investigation started.
The arrest was mde by a police party under the supervision of SSP Samba Virinder Manhas.
