SAMBA, Feb 28: Samba police has arrested a drug peddler in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Vijaypur and recovered approximately 10.05 grams heroin (Chitta) from his possession.
A police spokesman said. a team of Police Station (PS), Vijaypur during patrolling on link road leading towards Shiv Nagar near canal road, intercepted a pedestrian under suspicious circumstances who was coming from Shiv Nagar side and moving towards Vijaypur Market. During frisking, approximately 10.05 grams of heroin-like substance (Chitta) was recovered from his possession. The drug peddler identified as Fahad Baba, son of Farooq Ahmed Baba of Bawe Wali Gali Shahidi Chowk district Jammu has been arrested and the contraband item has also been seized, he added.
He said a case FIR No 37/2026 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Vijaypur and investigation started.
