SAMBA, Oct 15: Samba police apprehended an absconder wanted in a case registered under NDPS Act at Police Station (PS) Samba during the year 2019 who was evading arrest for the last six years after issuance of arrest warrant against him by the Court.
Police said a team of Police Post (PP) Supwal of PS Samba succeeded in apprehending an absconder namely Shamas Din, son of Mohammad Yousaf of Rakh Barotian tehsil Vijaypur district Samba wanted in case FIR Number 77/2019 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act registered at PS Samba.
He (absconder) was produced in the court of law and was sent to District Jail Kathua by the court. Thus the arrest warrant U/S 512 CrPC issued against him got executed.
