SAMBA, July 10: In continuation to its drive against the absconders/criminals, Samba police apprehended an absconder wanted in a case registered under NDPS Act at Police Station (PS) Samba during the year 2012 who was evading arrest for the last three years. He was arrested after Samba Court issued an arrest warrant against him, police said.
Police said a team of Police Post (PP) Mansar of PS Samba apprehended the absconder namely Altaf Ahmed, son of Ghulam Qadir of Charawa Mansar, district Samba wanted in case FIR No. 246/2012 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act registered at PS Samba.
Accordingly, the said absconder was produced in the court of law and fine to the tune of Rs 10000.00 was imposed by the Court on him.
