SAMBA, July 30: Samba police has arrested two thieves and recovered stolen item from their possession in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Ramgarh.
Police said a written complaint was lodged at Police Station (PS) Ramgarh by one Raghubir Singh, son of Mela Ram of Chak Salarian tehsil Ramgarh district Samba regarding theft of two HP electric motor from his agricultural field.
Acting over the complaint, a case FIR No. 55/2025 U/S 303(2) BNS has been registered at Police Station (PS) Ramgarh and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, police party after continuous strenuous efforts had rounded up two suspects for questioning who upon sustained questioning confessed their involvement in the theft case.
The accused namely Anil Kumar, son of Bhabishan Kumar and Tarsem Lal, son of Dalip Singh both residents of Chak Salarian, tehsil Ramgarh, district Samba have been arrested and on their disclosure, stolen electric motor has been recovered by the police. Further investigation is going on, police said.
The arrests were made by Police party under the overall supervision of SSP Samba Virinder Manhas.
