Samba police arrests 2 for illegal hoarding, sale of diesel

SAMBA, Apr 22: Samba police has arrested two persons for illegal hoarding and sale of diesel on National Highway side and seized 105 litres of diesel oil on the spot in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Samba.
Police said the arrested persons have been identified as Kapil Kumar, son of Radhey Sham of Manguchak Rajpura district Samba and Virender Yadav son of Gopal Yadav of Bihadarpur Jaunpur (UP).
Police said Kapil Kumar, who runs a tyre puncture repair ‘Khokha’ near Duggar Haveli, Nanke Chak Samba, is involved in illegally storing and selling of diesel oil at his ‘Khokha’. A police party of Police Station (PS) Samba while performing patrolling on NHW, caught him red-handed along with customer while illegally selling diesel oil at his ‘Khokha’ shop, police added.
Police has seized 105 litres of illegally stored diesel oil, empty drums and a pump from their possession.
A case FIR No. 108/2024 U/S 3/7 Essential Commodities Act has been registered at Police Station Samba and investigation is underway.
