SRINAGAR, Dec 28: MLA Hazratbal, Salman Ali Sagar, visited Nagbal Dara this morning and met the family affected by yesterday’s harassment and demolition by LCMA.
A poor family, supported by the local Intizamia in constructing a modest two-room house, saw their structure dismantled in an arbitrary manner.
During the interaction, the family informed that some goons had approached them demanding money in the name of allowing construction. The MLA termed such acts as blatant hooliganism and intimidation, particularly against poor and vulnerable sections of society.
MLA Hazratbal assured the affected family of his full support and informed them that a formal complaint has already been filed against those involved in harassing the locals. He stated that such hooliganism and lawlessness will not be tolerated and that strict action will be ensured against all those found responsible.
