Srinagar, Oct 22: The Minister of Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare, School Education, and Higher Education Departments, Sakeena Masood Itoo, visited the Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura, today to check the well-being of the injured persons of Gagangeer attack.
On the occasion, she directed doctors and paramedics to ensure the best possible treatment for the injured, aiming for their prompt recovery.
During the visit, the Minister was briefed by a team of senior doctors on the condition and health status of the injured, as well as the medical procedures being followed for their effective treatment.
The Minister interacted with the injured individuals, inquiring about their well-being and assuring them of full support.
In her discussions with the medical staff, she emphasized the need to provide comprehensive care.
She also instructed the hospital administration to ensure all necessary medical resources are readily available for optimal patient care. Additionally, she advised seeking consultations from other hospitals if necessary for the injured’s treatment.
On the sidelines of her visit, Sakeena inspected the Critical Care Unit and Emergency Wards of SKIMS.
During the inspection, she stressed the importance of maintaining high standards of patient care and an efficient emergency response system. She highlighted that, as one of the premier healthcare facilities in Kashmir, SKIMS carries great public expectations regarding patient care.
She also engaged with patients and their attendants, assuring them that they would receive the best possible medical treatment at the hospital.
