JAMMU, June 24: J&K National Conference general secretary and MLA Khanyar, Ali Mohd Sagar chaired key JKSPDC meeting on power projects here today.
Sagar, being Chairman of the Committee on Public Undertakings, presided over the high-level meeting with senior officials comprising of Principal Secretary JKPDD, MD JKSPDC, DG Accounts & Treasuries and others at the Assembly Complex, Srinagar. The meeting focused on an in-depth review of the functioning of various power projects across the region and addressed lapses in their timely implementation.

Chairman emphasized the critical role of efficient power projects execution in meeting the energy demands of Jammu & Kashmir. He directed officials to identify bottlenecks, streamline processes, and ensure strict adherence to project timelines to enhance the state’s power infrastructure. The discussions underscored the Committee’s commitment to improving operational efficiency, transparency, and accountability in the power sector.
The meeting was attended by the members of the Committee on Public Undertakings, including MLAs Ali Mohammad Dar, Baldev Raj Sharma, Ranbir Singh Pathania, Showkat Hussain Ganai, Mir Saifullah, Saif U Din Bhat, Tanvir Sadiq and Mian Meher Ali (Special invitee). Their inputs were instrumental in shaping strategies to address challenges and drive progress in the power sector.
