Sir,
Today we are living in an era of uncertainties, where we are not certain whether our children are safe outside, or even inside our homes. Child safety has been a question of concern in religious places too. According to a study every single minute eight children in India go missing. But the fact is that there are many cases which are not even reported. But the ground reality is much worse.
Nowadays there are cases of abductions, human trafficking, organ trade, physical abuse and rape. Incidents like that of Kathua, Unnao and Mandsaur will always force people to see everyone with an eye of suspicion because no one can be relied upon.
Despite of the fact that our nation is growing rapidly and is the 7th largest economy, children safety is still a cause of concern. The Government should come up with some strict laws so as to stop people from committing such heinous crimes. It’s time for us and for the society to become morally accountable and more responsible towards all this. It is rightly said that a nation without its youth, is a river without a source, so therefore the need of the hour is to take appropriate steps both on Government and self level to protect them, as these are the only ones who will serve as the future of the nation.
