UDHAMPUR, July 12: The police arrested a Sadhu and recovered nearly 600 gms charas from his possession in Jib area of Rehmbal today.
A police spokesman said that acting on a specific information, the police party from Rehmbal led by DySP DAR Mohd Aslam apprehended a Sadhu from a temple near Jib. The police recovered 600 gm charas from his possession. He has been identified as Mahant Rakesh Giri, son of Kishore Giri, resident of Muhal in Utter Pardesh. He had wrapped this consignment in a polythene bag.
The police registered a case FIR No. 108/2014 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act at Rehmbal Police Station against the accused person.
