JAMMU, July 1: National Conference (NC) additional general secretary and former Minister Ajay Kumar Sadhotra today expressed confidence in the smooth and successful conduct of this year’s Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, commending the comprehensive arrangements made for the annual pilgrimage.
In a statement issued ahead of the Yatra’s commencement from the Bhagwati Nagar base camp on Tuesday, Sadhotra appreciated the efforts of the administration, Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, security forces, and volunteers for ensuring seamless logistics, safety, and support for pilgrims undertaking the journey to the Holy Cave Shrine in the Kashmir Himalayas.
“The tireless work by all stakeholders is praiseworthy and reflects a collective commitment to the spiritual and physical well-being of the devotees,” he said.
Calling the Yatra a shining example of communal harmony, Sadhotra highlighted the tradition of cooperation wherein people from diverse communities come together to facilitate the pilgrimage. “This sacred journey, undertaken by one religious community and supported wholeheartedly by others, showcases the spirit of unity that defines Jammu and Kashmir,” he added.
He noted that the people of the region, irrespective of caste, creed or faith, eagerly await for the arrival of pilgrims and extend warm hospitality rooted in timeless traditions of brotherhood and coexistence.
Sadhotra said he believes the devotees will return not only spiritually enriched but also carrying the message of peace and Kashmiri warmth.
He concluded by urging for peace and mutual understanding during the Yatra, stating, “Let this sacred pilgrimage pave the way for harmony and renewed hope for J&K and the entire nation.”
