JAMMU, Feb 7: To discuss critical issues related to the Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2025, a delegation of Shri Amarnath Barfani Langars Organisation (SABLO), met with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, here today.
The delegation was led by Rajan Gupta, President SABLO along with Vijay Mehra, Finance Secretary.
During the meeting, key issues which were raised by the delegation included the removal of the bureaucratically impractical police verification mandate, advocating for a centralized verification process through J&K Police (NCRB) instead.
The delegation demanded fair recognition for all bhandara organizations approved by the concerned Deputy Commissioners, preventing misinformation and unnecessary demoralization.
Emphasizing logistical necessity, the delegation sought permission for Sewadars to travel with langar materials or alternatively, for Government transport arrangements from Jammu/Lakhanpur to Baltal/Chandanwari.
They also urged the CM for the extension of permanent power supply to remote camps to enhance services, reduce pollution and improve security for Yatris.
The members of delegation expressed confidence in the Chief Minister’s leadership and urged for swift action to ensure a smooth and well-organized Yatra 2025.
