Russia’s Rostec to showcase ‘R-Saver-1’ at World Defense Show Riyadh

MOSCOW, Feb 8 : Russian state corporation Rostec will premiere its latest unmanned rescue boat, the R-SAVER-1, at the World Defense Show 2026 international exhibition in Riyadh, the state corporation’s press service said on Sunday.
“Rostec state corporation will demonstrate a model of the latest unmanned rescue robotic marine complex R-SAVER-1 for the first time. The new product will be presented at the World Defense Show 2026 international defense and security exhibition in Riyadh,” the press service said.
R-SAVER-1 is designed for the rapid delivery of rescue equipment and special means to the scene of emergencies at sea, including to distressed vessels or offshore oil and gas facilities, the press service added.
“This design will significantly speed up the work to eliminate the consequences of emergency situations. The unmanned boat is capable of delivering cargo over a distance of up to 800 kilometers [497 miles] at a speed of up to 50 kilometers per hour [31 miles per hour]. At the same time, the drone can carry a maximum weight of up to 600 kilograms,” Rostec also said.
World Defense Show 2026 is one of the largest international defense and security exhibitions, which will be held from February 8 to 12 in Riyadh. The event is organised under the patronage of the Saudi Arabian Defense Ministry and brings together the world’s leading arms and military equipment manufacturers.
