MOSCOW, Apr 1 : Russia can play an important role in shaping a new architecture for global logistics and international trade, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday.
“Russia can offer the world such solutions and play an important role in shaping a new architecture for global logistics and international trade in general,” Putin said in a video address to participants of the International Transport and Logistics Forum.
The transport and logistics sector, the key areas for the global economy – is currently facing serious geopolitical challenges, the president said.
“For our partners, Russian logistics routes can be beneficial both economically, due to shorter transportation times, and in terms of diversifying global transportation flows,” Putin said.
More and more countries and companies are thinking about safety and sustainability of transport routes and logistics chains and Russia is ready to share its experience in technological development of transport and logistics, the leader said.
Putin also called the technological revolution in transportation and logistics a long-term challenge. (UNI)
