JAMMU, Sept 21: J&K Rural Uthaan Mission, in collaboration with Funfirst Mumbai and QE Electronics has launched a specialized skill development training programme in solar energy and EV charging technologies.
The programme is being supported by SIDBI Bank to equip young men and women with hands-on knowledge in renewable energy and Electric Vehicle (EV) charging solutions, sectors that are rapidly emerging as future of green jobs.
The initiative will be conducted in two batches, ensuring personalized learning and maximum employability. The programme is structured as a “payable-based training” model, meaning that all trained candidates will be provided active support in securing jobs.
Speaking at the launch, K.P Sharma, Vice President, Schneider Electric, highlighted that his mission is to create job opportunities for at least 1,000 youth in Phase 1 of this effort.
Amit Gupta, CEO Funfirst, shared his vision of expanding this initiative across J&K, emphasizing the region’s potential in renewable energy and EV sectors. He informed that QE Infotech has already provided employment to 30 youth from J&K.
With renewable energy and EV charging infrastructure emerging as pillars of India’s green economy, this training initiative will help J&K’s youth secure sustainable livelihoods while contributing to the nation’s clean energy transition.
