MENDHAR, Aug 14: Donation money worth over Rs 60,000 was stolen from a local shrine in Kalaban area of Mendhar in district Poonch last night.
Reports said that people of the area came to know about the matter in the morning when they saw the donation box broken and lying nearby the Court Qasba Ziarat in Kalaban area. SHO Mendhar Anzir Mir rushed to the shrine after receiving information. The police after examining spot started investigation.
The SHO also spoke to the people at shrine and some locals of the area. They told that offerings worth over Rs 60,000 have been stolen. The police has also detained some suspects in this connection.
