JAMMU, Jan 23: A fine of Rs 4500 was imposed on the ration and kerosene oil dealers during surprise inspection by a team of CAPD in Jammu rural area today.
On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Jammu to check the menace of black marketing of PDS items, surprise raids were conduced by a team led by Assistant Director CAPD, Jammu Rural, Ghar Singh along with Tehsil Supply Officer, Sat Paul Sudan today at Khanpur, Nagrota, Kanyala, Kaha Pota and Jindrah today.
During inspection, seven (7) ration/ kerosene oil dealers were found violating the PDS Control Order. They were found not displaying the sign boards/ rate lists properly at their depots. A fine of Rs 4500 was imposed and recovered on the spot from the defaulters. Some dealers were issued warnings for petty irregularities.
