Rs 38 crore budget approved for of Maa Naina Devi temple

BILASPUR (HP), Jan 24 : The annual budget of the famous Shaktipeeth of Maan Shri Naina Devi Ji, located in this district has been unanimously approved at Rs 38 crore. The budget meeting was held on Friday at Shri Naina Devi Ji, it was chaired by the Deputy Commissioner of Bilaspur, Rahul Kumar. The Chairman of the Temple Trust and SDM Dharampal was also present at the meeting.
Rahul Kumar who is also the commissioner of the trust said that the budget of the temple trust is approximately 20 percent more than the previous year. He said that special attention has been given in this budget to provide better basic facilities to the devotees at the Mata’s shrine.
Kumar said that adequate provision has been made in the budget for cleanliness, drinking water facilities, langar (community kitchen) operations, toilet facilities, and other essential amenities. Along with this, beautification and development works of the temple complex have also been given priority.
He said that keeping in mind the convenience of elderly and disabled devotees, provision has also been made in the budget for ramps, lifts, and other assistive facilities in the temple complex so that all devotees can easily have darshan (viewing) of the Goddess. Rs 5 crore has been sanctioned for the temple trust’s cowshed, temple conservation works, and beautification. Funds have also been allocated in the budget for the construction and maintenance of the langar building and guesthouse.
The DC informed that the school run by the temple trust is being affiliated with CBSE. In addition, provision has also been made in the budget for providing necessary machinery for the hospital run by the trust. The online donation system implemented by the temple trust has resulted in an increase in income of approximately 20 percent, which has accelerated development works.
He said that in line with the Chief Minister’s instructions to promote green energy, the temple trust has also decided to install solar systems. Solar facilities will be provided in the huts and cafes. Kumar said that the coverage of CCTV cameras will be expanded to strengthen the security system of the temple complex. The control and command system established in the temple has ensured better management, and the remaining areas will also be brought under CCTV surveillance. In addition, a multi-level parking facility has also been approved for the convenience of devotees and will be inaugurated soon.
