JAMMU, Aug 17: Besides propagating awareness to fight Covid pandemic, Reasi Police is also enforcing and slapping fines against the violators of Covid Appropriate Behavior to achieve 100 percent compliance on protocol set up by the Health Department.
Under this drive, Reasi Police booked 14,531 violators of Covid Protocol throughout the district and collected a fine of Rs 13, 27,145, which is being deposited in the kitty of Red Cross Society.
Besides this, Police personnel including Village Defense Committee members are already engaged in awareness drive as ‘Force Multiplier’ in the vaccination campaign in Mahore and other remote areas of the District Reasi for Covid Protocol. Police & VDC are also helping ignorant people against false rumors about the vaccination, actively mobilizing eligible citizens and mobilizing them to vaccination camps.
According to SSP Reasi Shailender Singh, Reasi Police is committed to make people aware about Covid SOPs and make them to follow Covid appropriate behavior in totality along with vaccination which is the only way out to fight against this deadly Pandemic.
