RPN Singh takes over as MoS for Home

NEW DELHI, Oct 30:Mr Ratanjit Pratap Narain Singh took over as MoS for Home here today.
In his brief interaction with media after assuming charge, Mr Singh said ensuring safety and security of every citizen of the country will be his top priority.
The Minister said he will try his best to follow in the footsteps of his illustrious predecessors.
Born in 1964, Mr Singh did his B A History (Hons.) from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi.
He was elected member of the UP legislative assembly thrice in 1996, 2007 and 2009. Mr Singh was elected to 15th Lok Sabha in 2009 from Kushi Nagar in UP.
He was made MoS for Road and Transport and Highways in 2009 and
moved over as MoS for Petroleum and Natural Gas in January 2011. (UNI)
