Roy heads JKDIA

JAMMU, Dec 15: Gulshan Roy has been elected as the president of the Jammu and Kashmir Drug Inspectors’ Association (JKDIA).
The election for various posts of the office bearers of the Association was held here today under the supervision of Election Commissioners- Ashish Gupta and Syed Nazar-ul-Islam. Three members contested for the post of president but Inspector Gulshan Roy was declared elected as new president of the Association. He defeated Tariq Ahmed Sheikh and Bilal Ahmed Rather.
Amit Bali was declared elected unopposed for the post of vice president and Zaffar Ahmed Malik as Treasurer.
Shabir Ahmed Pandith was declared elected as general secretary of the JKDIA. He defeated Inspector Mustafa Kamal.
The Association assured the members to project their issues before the concerned authorities.
