Roopnagar Housing Colony delegation meets AEE

JAMMU, Jan 16: A delegation of Roopnagar JDA Housing Colony Welfare Association led by Uttam Deep Sharma, Association chairman met Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE), PDD Sub Division, Janipur and raised the issue of long power cuts of 6 hours as well as frequent unscheduled power cuts in Roopnagar JDA Housing Colony.
A memorandum was also given to the AEE by the delegation containing a request for ensuring regular supply of electricity without any curtailment as 100 per cent smart meters have been installed in the colony and all the residents are paying monthly bill regularly.
The delegation members said, as per the policy of the Government, PDD is bound to supply electricity round the clock without any curtailment and the general public should not be made to suffer for the fault of others.
The AEE assured the delegation to send a proposal within couple of days to the Chief Engineer PDD to cut down timing of scheduled curtailment so that the grievances of the residents of Upper Roopnagar JDA Housing Colony Jammu get addressed.
