AKHNOOR, Oct 22: The role of youth in driving the Swadeshi movement and building an Atmanirbhar Bharat is indispensable, said BJP Jammu & Kashmir vice president and State co-incharge of Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan, Rekha Mahajan, while addressing a Yuva Sammelan in Akhnoor.
The event was organised under the presidentship of BJP district president, Kuldeep Banotra.
District Prabhari, Vinay Gupta, DDC Bhalwal Brahmana Bhushan Bral, district general secretary, Shakti, Mandal president and Programme in charge, Sahil Bral, speaker Gurpal Singh ,Mandal presidents also spoke on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Rekha Mahajan emphasized the importance of youth in shaping India’s future. “The youth of today are not only the torchbearers of tomorrow but also the driving force behind the Swadeshi movement. Their energy, innovation, and commitment are crucial in realising the vision of a self-reliant India,” she said.
She urged the youth to adopt the principles of Swadeshi by promoting indigenous products and supporting local industries. “Every small step towards using locally made goods strengthens our economy and empowers our nation. Youth must become ambassadors of this change,” Mahajan asserted.
Highlighting Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s vision, she added, “Atmanirbhar Bharat is not just a slogan — it is a mission to make India economically strong, technologically advanced, and socially empowered. The youth must lead this mission from the front.”
She appreciated the organisers for mobilising the youth and encouraged regular such interactions to inspire young minds.
BJP district president, Kuldeep Banotra, in his address, lauded the enthusiasm of the youth and highlighted the importance of their participation in strengthening the party’s grassroots network.
District Prabhari Vinay Gupta said that youth are the backbone of the nation and must work collectively to promote the message of Swadeshi and Vocal for Local.
Sahil Bral and Gurdeep Singh also shared their views. The proceedings were conducted by Shakti Singh.
