KATHUA, Jan 27: Despite the heavy rainfall rich tribute were paid to martyr Capt Sunil Choudhary ,Kirti Chakra, Sena Medal on his 18th martyrdom day here, today.
On the occasion a tribute and wreath laying ceremony was arranged at Capt Sunil Choudhary Chowk here. MLA Kathua, Dr Bharat Bhushan, DC Kathua, Rajesh Sharma, SSP Kathua, Mohita Sharma, Army officers, family members of martyr and numbers of prominent citizens and ex-servicemen paid floral tribute to martyr amid heavy rainfall .
The Army personnel also paid honor in the respect of martyr. Col PL Choudhary, father of martyr said that his son has scarified his life for the sake of country while fighting with militants in Aasam on 27 January 2008. He said his sacrifice becomes role model for young generation. “I feel proud to listen the bravery tale of my son, but I also miss his presence and his memories are always with us”.
While paying tribute MLA Kathua, Dr Bharat Bhushan said that martyr, Capt Sunil Choudhary was brave soldier of Kathua district as numbers of martyrs sacrificed their lives in such a way as Kathua district has great honor. He said that such functions will motivate the youth towards patriotism and inspiring them to work for nation building.
