JAMMU, July 1: Rich tribute paid to martyr Daler Singh Bhau on his martyrdom day today. wreaths were placed by people present in the programme on the portrait of Daler Singh Bhau, who was martyred during the Kargil war on July 1 in 1999.
Former Rajya Sabha member, Shamsher Singh Manhas, Deputy Chairman District Development Council (DDC), Jammu, Suraj Singh Bhau, BJP Mahila Morcha, State president, Sanjita Dogra, former MLA, Dr. Krishan Lal, SSP, Mohan Lal Bhagat and others while paying homage said that during the war four enemies were killed by Daler Singh Bhau during the Kargil war and such a brave hero will be always remembered for his valour and sacrifice. These warriors get martyrdom for the sake of their country.
After the martyrdom of her husband in the Kargil war, Sharda Bhau her wife became a DDC member with the spirit of service to the country.
In Kargil, 12 JAK Li Hav Daler Singh Bhau was martyred while taking on the enemies. Daler Singh of village Panjtoot Palanwalla has left behind his wife and three children. At the time of his martyrdom the elder son was nine years old and the younger son was three years old. Wife Sharda Bhau took care of all the three children. Five years ago, the eldest son died in a road accident. Despite this, Sharda Bhau won the election of DDC councillor with the spirit of service to the country.
Sharda Bhau, who was elected DDC member from Akhnoor, says that after the husband who was martyred while protecting the country, she had to face many problems for the upbringing of three children. But with the cooperation of the Government, Army and people, leaving behind all the troubles she marched on a new path. She said that it is a matter of pride to be the martyr for the country. She further appealed that the younger generation instead of falling a prey to drugs and other evils should join the army and protect the country.
