UDHAMPUR, Sept 5: On the occasion of Teacher’s Day, members of All J&K ReT Teachers Forum organized a protest demonstration to lodge protest against their alleged harassment by the State Government.
The protest was organized under the leadership of Forum’s State president Vinod Sharma and district president Lekh Raj Parihar while representatives from all the 11 zones participated in the demonstration.
While addressing the gathering, Vinod Sharma lambasted the State Government for its casual approach to resolve issues of Rehbar-e-Taleem and harassing them by hurting their sentiments.
“How can we celebrate Teachers day when our SSA salary is pending for the last 6 months and our family members are on the verge of starvation? The Mid- Day- Meal dues are pending for last one and half year, regularization files of ReTs are gathering dust in various offices and KGBV Teachers are waiting for their regularization and have been passing through acute harassment at the hands of concerned authority,” he alleged.
Others who also spoke on the occasion, included Sukhdev Singh, Bhushan Khajuria, Sham Sharma, Pritam Goswami, Chain Singh, Ravinder Singh, Balbinder Singh, Vipin Sharma, Vinay Sharma, Sandeep Sharma, Rakesh Tripathi, Anil Sharma, Romesh Kumar, Pama Chand, Vinder Kumar, Rakesh Kumar and Ajay Thakur.
