JAMMU, July 1: Chief Engineer Mechanical, Yog Raj Abrol, retired yesterday from service on attaining the age of superannuation. He was accoprded a warm and affectionate send off. Yog Raj Abrol joined State service in January 1981 as Junior Engineer in Mechanical Wing and served for over 36 years in various capacities. He served as AEE for five years. As Superintending Engineer in Irrigation and Flood Control Department, Jammu, his major achievement was in restoration of damaged concrete syphon of Tawi Canal at Balol Nallah in 2014 floods. The staff and officers of the department were also present at his farewell.
Subash Kumar Shastri, Head Master, Government High School Marh (Dansal), retired from service on June 30, 2017 after putting in years of unblemished services to Education Department. A Warm farewell was organized by the staff and students of the school and Head Master Gundla Rajinder Kumar and staff also attended. The retiree also acted as media-person in the office of the Directorate of School Education Jammu.
