Retired cops project issues

RAJOURI, Dec 5: Retired police personnel from district Rajouri have demanded enhancement of medical allowance and 15 % job quota for their wards in State Police Department.
In a meeting of the members held under the banner of All J&K Retd Police Personnel NGO & Others Forum here today, its president Ajit Singh raised the burning issues of the retired cops and urged upon the Government and higher authorities in Police Department to address their issues. He also claimed that Govt order No. 229-F of 2014, dated 17-10-2014 regarding pay anomalies was not acceptable to all the cops.
The members demanded enhancement of medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month, 15 % job quota for their wards in Police Department, free treatment to retired cops in police hospital, sanctioning of Rs 50,000 as financial help from the department at the time of marriage of daughters of retired policemen and Rs 50,000 as financial assistance at the time of death of a retired policeman for performing last rites by the family.
