JAMMU, Oct 28: The monthly meeting of Jammu and Kashmir ReT Teachers’ Forum was held here today under the chairmanship of its State President, Vinod Sharma and State Chief Coordinator, Sukhdev Singh.
Speakers in the meeting demanded salary as per seventh pay commission and appealed the Governor in this regard.
They also demanded delinking of SSA salary from MHRD to State budget and said that they are waiting for Nov 10 to see the report of the committee constituted for this purpose.
The Forum leaders in the meeting also demanded immediate release of pending salaries for the last three months as festivals of Diwali and Bhai Dooj are near.
Other demands discussed in the meeting included regularization of ReT teachers who have completed five years of service.
Prominent among others present in the meeting were Sham Sharma, Lekh Raj Parihar, Subash Chander, Surinder Khajuria, Dinesh Singh, Jasbir Singh, Manohar Chowdhary and others.
