UDHAMPUR, Dec 24: Jammu Kashmir Rehabar-e-Taleem Teachers Forum (JKReTTF) organized one- day convention, here today under the chairmanship of its District president Kuldeep Katoch.
During the convention, Chief Education Officer (CEO) Udhampur, J R Bhardwaj was the chief guest while Chairman of the Forum, FA Tantray and Sr Vice Chairman Bhupinder Singh were the guests of honour.
In his address, CEO appealed the teachers to improve the education standard, specially in far flung areas. He assured the teachers that all their issues related with different zonal offices of Udhampur would be redressed on priority.
Chairman of the Forum, FA Tantray, during his speech, stressed upon the State Government to fulfill its promises, which had been made with them in past so many times. He appealed the Government to release and streamline the salary of SSA teachers, which was becoming a mental trauma for the thousands of Rehabar- e- Taleem Teachers of the State. He warned the Government that if their issues are not solved soon, they would come on roads.
Vice Chairman of the Forum, Bhupinder Singh appealed the State Government to streamline the salaries of ReTs working under SSA as Government had already assured to streamline the same. He stressed upon the concerned authorities to regularise all education volunteers converted ReTs, surplus ReTs and ReTs.
During the convention, hundreds of Rehabar-e-Taleem Teachers from all educational zones of Udhampur and leaders of the Forum were present.
Shakeel Zahood, Inderjeet, Aftab Malik, Bahadur Singh, Ishaq Rashid, Kousar, Nazia, Pritam Dhimaan, Farooq Runyal, Mushtaq Malik, Summit Khajuria, Varinder and Kuldeep Kumar also spoke during the convention while district president Kuldeep Katoch presented vote of thanks.
