JAMMU, Dec 11: The ongoing protest dharna by All J&K ReT Teachers Forum entered into 5th today.
The dharna is being held near Press Club Jammu and a number of ReT teachers are taking part in the protest in support of their demands.
While addressing the dharna, ReT Forum president Vinod Sharma announced that forum will intensify the struggle as the Government has turned a deaf ear towards the voice of aggrieved ReTs.
The District Administration on Monday had committed to arrange our meeting with the Government in next two days for resolving the issues of ReTs but no such meeting has been there even after five days, Vinod Sharma lamented and warned to intensify their stir by locking all the schools and coming on roads with their family members.
“Instead of resolving genuine issues such as regularizing the ReTs /KGBV Teachers who have completed 5 years tenure, releasing pending salary under SSA, MDM dues, implementing transfer policy for regularized ReT Teachers and conceding other demands, the Education Department is humiliating and harassing ReTs on the name of so called verification and screening test,” he alleged.
Others, who addressed the dharna, included Sukh Dev Singh, Sham Sharma, Sukesh Khajuria Ashok Seth, Lekh Raj Parihar, Sanjay Singh, Mohd Mustfa, Shabir Ahmed, Chain Singh, Manhor Lal, Sandeep, Anita Kiran, Sushil, Vipin and Viney.
