ReT Forum holds monthly meeting, highlights various issues of cadre

UDHAMPUR, May 5: A monthly meeting of J&K ReT Teachers’ Forum was held here today, under the leadership of State president Vinod Sharma and district president Lekh Raj Parihar.
The meeting was attended by the district and zonal body members of all the eleven zones of the district. While speaking on the occasion, Vinod Sharma highlighted various issues of the cadre and demanded the resolution of Undergraduate Teachers’ issue by converting them to teachers Grade II by removing the bar of graduation as more than 5000 teachers are suffering badly. He appealed the Governor’s administration to issue the order regarding the same.
He also demanded the conversion to teachers Grade II of left out graduates, especially in district Ramban where more than 100 files are complete in all respects for last two months but District Level Committee isn’t recommending such cases to the Divisional level committee and teachers are feeling harassed. “Even though the divisional level committee headed by Director School Education Jammu is very much keen to complete the process at the earliest and has issued directions time to time to all the CEOs to expedite the process but CEO Ramban isn’t paying heed, he alleged and e appealed the DSEJ to issue directions to the CEO to submit such files without any further delay.
He also demanded the initiation of regularisation process of ReTs who have completed 5 years ReT period and are waiting for their regularization.
Chief Coordinator Sukhdev Singh Sumbria, while speaking on the occasion, demanded the release of SSA salary for the month of January and February 2019 so that the teachers have a sigh of relief.
District president Lekh Raj Parihar, while speaking on the occasion, appealed the Chief Education Officer Udhampur to submit the remaining cases of left out graduates for conversion to teachers Grade II so that the teachers get their dues.
Others, who also spoke on the occasion, included Sukesh Khajuria, Ravinder Rathore , Bhushan Khajuria, Sandeep Sharma, Rakesh Singh, Jagdish Chander Sharma, Sushil Singh, Man Chand , Sham Singh, Swaran Singh, Rekha Thakur , Sahil Sambyal and Romesh Goswami.
