ReT Forum appeals Governor to streamline SSA salary issue

UDHAMPUR, Feb 7: All J&K ReT Teachers Forum held monthly meet here under the chairmanship of State President Vinod Sharma and District President Lekh Raj Parihar, which was attended by a large number of delegates from all the eleven zones of the District.
While speaking, Vinod Sharma appealed to the Governor to personally intervene in the matter of release of SSA Salary and getting it streamlined as it is a chronic problem and thousands of teachers working under SSA have to wait for months together for their salaries and their family members live a miserable life. They are unable to provide balanced diet to their children and necessary medicines to their ailing parents, he added.
He said that they have been paid their salary upto November 2015 and there is no payment of remaining salaries, adding that even pay arrears of thousands of education volunteers regularized as general line teachers are also pending for 8 to 10 months in many districts of the State. ReTs Forum wants probe into the matter so that every SSA teacher get its equal share of salary.
He also appealed to the Governor to take up the matter with MHRD for further release of pending SSA salary and other arrears to resolve this chronic issue of SSA salary.
Forum also appealed to the Director School Education Jammu to issue regularization order of remaining ReTs at the earliest.
