KISHTWAR, June 21: Congress activists and unemployed youth in a meeting here today demanded starting the work on Ratle power project immediately as it has rendered hundreds of local youth jobless.
The meeting was chaired by senior Congress leader Shamsher Singh Bhandari. It made and appeal to State Government to pursue the constructing company to start the work at an earliest as the hundreds of youth have become jobless after the work was abandoned by the company.
Addressing the meeting Mr Bhandari also made an appeal to the Government to ensure proper power and water supply in Kishtwar in view of holy Ramzan. He also demanded immediate renovation of road and Highway from Batote to Kishtwar in view of the rush of pilgrims visiting the area to have pilgrimage of Machail Mata, Sarthal Mata, Kailash Kund, Ningal Mata, Hud Mata yatra in which thousands of devotees drawn from different parts of country take part.
