JAMMU, Aug 7: All J&K SC & ST Retired Employees Forum held its monthly meeting under the chairmanship of Prof. (Dr.) G.L Thapa, Forum president.
During meeting Forum leaders demanded that J&K Government should restore reservation in promotions in the Union Territory.
They claimed that despite majority of the Members of Parliament are from reserved categories, yet constitutional rights of reserved categories are not being protected.
They also claimed that some politicians befool people on the issue of reservation as they lack knowledge on the subject.
The meeting was attended by Seva Dass Digra, G.L Bhagat, M.L Hans, G.D Dogra, Amar Nath Behnal, T.C Bavouria, Jagdish Raj Basan, V.D Triyal, Des Raj Sangral, Paras Ram Angral and others.
