This was stated by senior vice president, NC and former Cabinet Minister, SS Slathia, while addressing a public rally at Vijaypur today.
Maintaining that National Conference represents the urges and aspirations of the people of all the three regions of the State, senior NC leader and former Cabinet Minister, Slathia today said it has offered supreme sacrifices and withstood test of the times since independence of the country for the honour and dignity of the people and States’ integrity.
Slathia said there is no party parallel to NC, which can uphold unity and integrity of the State, which comprises three linguistically and geographically distinct regions.
Slathia called upon the people to strengthen NC as it has track record of secular and democratic credentials.
He called upon the workers and office bearers to work like front ranking soldiers to guard the NC from the onslaught of vicious circle and defeated politicians, who are desperate to see its strong foundation shaken.
He said that the State is passing through a history and golden era of progress, which was unprecedented.
Massive road connectivity projects, opening of 22 colleges and 50 IITs and polytechnics in the State will bring a turnaround in the socio-economic transformation of the State, he said, adding that the formulation of first of its kind, power policy will be a harbinger of economic prosperity as State will soon become self reliant in power and the Industrial activities will get a big boost.
