UDHAMPUR, May 21: Alleging failure of Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department in providing adequate drinking water, the residents of Ward Numbers 8, 9 and 13 today held protest.
The protesting people raised slogans against the PHE Department and District Administration. They alleged that due to callous approach of the concerned department, they are suffering and their normal life is also getting affected.
The protesters said that they have repeatedly brought the matter into the notice of the concerned authorities but no action has been taken till date.
When contacted Arun Kumar, JE PHE Department said that the motors were damaged and have been repaired. Regular water supply will be provided to the people from tomorrow onwards, he added.
