JAMMU, June 16: The residents of Om Nagar and Udheywalla held a protest at PDD Chief Engineer office, Bhagwati Nagar against the irregular power supply.
The protestors raised slogans against PDD and demanded regular power supply in their localities.
Later, CE met the protestors and listened to their grievances. The residents said that they are facing manifold problems due to unscheduled power cuts, low voltage and burning of transformers occasionally.
The protestors led by Vikas Dewan also requested her to change the feeder back to Toph from Udheywalla.
Dewan informed CE that two transformers are functioning for Om Nagar and Udheywalla with the capacity of 400 KV each and demanded installation of another transformer with the same capacity to bear the overloading.
CE listened to the grievance of the people and assured early redressal.
