Residential house of drug peddler attached

UDHAMPUR, Dec 8: Udhampur Police has attached an immovable property worth Rs 60 lakhs belonging to an alleged drug peddler.
According to Police, residential house of Varun Sharma alias Pichi, son of Raj Kumar, resident of Ward number 6, Karan Nagar, Railway Road, Udhampur, has beam attached under Section 68(F) of the NDPS Act in connection with FIR No. 180/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act of Police Station Rehambal.
The attached property comprises a double-storey residential house built on land under Khasra number 50 min at Ward number 6, Karan Nagar, Udhampur.
The action marked the 16th residential house of drug peddlers attached by Udhampur Police this year in NDPS-related action.
During the course of investigation, detailed financial scrutiny and backward link analysis revealed that the accused had acquired the said immovable property through proceeds of narcotics. Based on these findings, the Investigating Officer passed the attachment order today for further legal proceedings.
