KISHTWAR, Dec 27: A residential house was damaged in a fire incident here today.
Sources informed that today at about 9 am fire was noticed at the house of one Farooq Ahmed, son of Bashir Ahmed Naik, resident of Naikpora, Chhatro resulting in loss to one floor of the house.
Household items kept in the house were also damaged in the fire but there was no loss of life or injury to anyone.
After getting the information of fire Police, locals, personnel from Fire and Emergency Services and army men reached the spot and doused the fire thereby preventing it to spread further.
SHO Police Station Chhatro, Inspector Sandeep Parihar informed that police has registered an FIR in this regard and investigations have been started to ascertain the exact cause of fire.
