JAMMU, Jan 18: J&K Reserved Categories Empowerment Alliance (JKRCEA) here today reiterated the demand of reservation in promotions for the Government employees of reserved categories.
In a news conference Sham Lal, President Dalit Chetna Manch said that there is a conspiracy to kill the reservation of SC/ST/OBC.
He also asked the some leaders from amongst the SC/ST communities not to mislead the reserved category population by distorting facts.
Prof G.L Thappa demanded immediate appointment of a Scheduled Caste member to JK Public Service Commission.
M.R Bangotra said that the employees of reserved categories have been worst sufferers as they met gross discrimination in not only in posting & adjustment but in promotions and placement too.
Citing examples of PDD, R&B and Health & Medical Education Department he said that few officers from SC/ST categories who are otherwise at panel positions have been dropped while making the promotion which is an irreversible loss to these employees.
