Research methodology workshop organized by ICccR & HRM

JAMMU, Dec 22: International Centre for Cross Cultural Research and Human Resource Management (ICccR & HRM), University of Jammu and Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad-IIM-A under RUSA-2.0, jointly organised National Interdisciplinary Research Methodology Workshop, under the theme, “Research Methodology: A Beginners Approach”.
The underlying objective of the workshop was to acquaint research scholars and early-stage faculty members with the methodological issues while devising the research proposals.
The resource persons for the workshop were Prof Joshy Jacob, Chief Editor, Vikalpa, IIM-Ahmedabad; Prof Rama Mohana Turaga, IIM-Ahmedabad; Prof George Kandathil, IIM-Ahmedabad & Prof Vishal Gupta from IIM-Ahmedabad.
Prof Joshy Jacob addressed the attendees on the prerequisites of publishing in multiple indexed journals and the importance of having methodological rigour while writing the research papers for the journals. He also mentioned the importance of writing research articles with strong implications for practitioners and their growing likelihood of getting published in top rated journals.
Prof Rama Turaga and Prof George Kandathil shared their editorial and reviewer expertise with the attendees.
Prof Vishal Gupta, IIM-Ahmedabad, conducted the workshop and extensively elaborated upon the areas of Conceptual-Operational Research Designing, Structure Equation Modelling, Reliability Analysis, Error Measurement, Multicollinearity, Composite Reliability, New Scale Development, EFA & CFA Techniques.
Prof Vishal being one of the rigorous researchers in the domains of Compensation Management, Leadership, Justice, Creativity and Innovation Management, R&D management, Organisation Theory, Organization Design, Leadership, Psychometrics, Structural Equation Modelling, Multilevel Modelling, Human Resource Management explicitly connected the above stated research techniques with their areas of research that stands published in internationally reputed journals.
Professor Neetu Andotra, Director, ICccR & HRM, JU, expressed satisfaction and contentment with the overall structure of workshop that was inclusive of the top-notch researchers from one of the finest research institutions of India. She further stressed upon organising such like workshops in more extensive formats that will enable and infuse research rigour and methodological awareness amongst the researchers.
