Security threat due to vacant plots
I would like to invite kind attention of District Administration towards an issue related to presence of huge number of slum dwellings in vacant plots of J&K Housing Colony in Chhanni Rama. The issue has been raised a number of times but no serious cognizance of the matter has been taken so far. It is pertinent to highlight that these vacant plots have been rented out by the allotees to the slum dwellers where majority of the occupants have no toilet facility or regularized water and electric connections have been provided. It is obvious that in absence of sanitation facilities, these occupants indulge in open defecation in nearby nallas besides committing theft of electricity and availing illegal water connections.
The presence of such inmates having no police verification or whereabouts remains a security threat for the original inhabitants of Chhanni Rama as there is a distinct spurt in theft cases and drug abuse as well in the area. It is pertinent to state here that Ward Councillor too has raised this issue at various platforms but no concrete steps have been initiated by the concerned authorities in this context.
In light of the growing number of slum dwellings, it is once again requested to the concerned authorities to take serious cognizance of the issue and act promptly to check evergrowing cluster of slum dwellings. It will certainly provide clean environment for the people besides a step towards safeguard in wake of the sensitive installations of Oil Depots of Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum very close to Chhanni Rama.

Construction of bunker
I want to draw attention of the concerned authorities towards construction of a bunker at Govt Primary School Namb Bhawani B which is within in the shelling range from across the border, for safety of kids. It should be considered on utmost priority. No action has been taken till now even after many request to BDO Nowshera. Hope the Education Department too takes up the matter with the concerned authorities.

Activate 250 KV transformer in Swarn Vihar
A 250 KV transformer was installed in Lane No. 3, Sector 2, Swarn Vihar, Jammu, under Ward No. 64 three years ago. Unfortunately, despite the passage of significant time, this transformer has not been activated, causing inconvenience to my household.
In recent months, I have taken the initiative to install solar panels on my property, aided by a bank loan. Furthermore, I have installed a 3-phase smart meter to facilitate the transition to solar energy.
It is concerning that, despite the installation of the 3-phase smart meter, the 250 KV transformer remains inactive. I have made several appeals to the Power Development Department (PDD) in Jammu, requesting the immediate activation of the transformer.
Although the 3-phase smart meter has been successfully installed, the transformer is yet to be enabled. Additionally, our area lacks the necessary 3-phase service line. This situation is causing significant issues for my household and hindering the effective utilization of solar power.
I request intervention of the higher-ups of the department in this matter. The timely activation of the 250 KV transformer and the installation of a 3-phase service line are essential to ensure the efficient operation of the solar panels and to alleviate the persistent electricity issues I am facing in Swarn Vihar.

Repair New Plot- Janipur road
The road from the New Plot to Janipur is in a shambles for last some years. During this period, it has developed ditches and puddles which cause not only discomfort to drivers but also to commuters and passers by.
Despite being a busy road, the concerned does not bother to repair it on regular basis. As a result, we witness frequent traffic jams and brawls among drivers and passengers etc. Therefore it is requested that the road be repaired at the earliest.
