JAMMU, Aug 18: The Radha-Krishan Temple in Rattian village of RS Pura, originally built by the grandfather of renowned philanthropist and social worker, TR Gupta and later maintained by his father, has been recently renovated and beautified. The Temple’s inauguration was marked by a grand ceremony, attended by TR Gupta and his family members, as well as the entire village community.
The event was celebrated with traditional fervor, including the playing of a band and the showering of rose petals to welcome the attendees. A Pooja and Havan ceremony, led by six learned Sanskrit scholars, was conducted with the chanting of Vedic mantras during the installation of the deity (Murti Sthapana). The villagers expressed their gratitude to TR Gupta for his continued dedication to the community by organizing a langar, where all attendees were served prasad.
TR Gupta’s family members, including Dr Ashok Kumar Gupta and Kiran Gupta, Naresh Gupta and Neelam Gupta, Promilla Gupta, MM Gupta, Dr Tilak Raj Gupta, Darshana Gupta, Prabhakar Gupta, Sham Gupta, Raman Gupta, Ajay Gupta, Raju Gupta, Shyam Gupta and Jeevan Batta, were all present at the ceremony.
The local villagers played a crucial role in the successful execution and monitoring of the renovation work, with special contributions from Joginder Singh, Ranjit Singh, Soma, Rajinder Singh, Kuldeep Singh, Padha, Dharam Paul, Babloo Sharma and Madan Sharma. The entire community came together to celebrate this significant event, which will be remembered as a symbol of unity and devotion.
