Remove encroachments from Migrants’ land in Valley: KPs

JAMMU, Dec 22: Despite passing more than three decades and consistent hectic struggle of Displaced Kashmiri Pandits on account of restoration and retrieval of their ancestral immovable properties left back in valley in 1990 is still far away from their real dream.
In a joint press statement issued today by socio- political activists Vinod Pandita, Sanjay Dhar and Vishal Jotshi said
the displaced Pandits over all from mostly rural areas of Kashmir Valley face a tough situation in retrieving their ancestral lands grabbed or illegally encroached due to total non cooperation, non compliance and non seriousness of the custodian staff from top to bottom which needs now a high level probe to un-earthen this multi crore migrant land scam.
They have appealed Prime Minister, Home Minister of India and Lt. Governor UT of J&K to initiate concrete measures to fulfill this long pending demand of the community in restoration of the illegally occupied migrant lands in Valley order a high level enquiry into this grave matter of land encroachment and grabbing of migrant lands by anti social elements and land mafia.
They urged the Union Government punish the culprits under law.
They also appealed to Government of India to frame a tangible return and rehabilitation policy for Kashmiri Pandits and also address other pertinent problems in exile like enhancement of monthly cash assistance, reservation in all the professions colleges in Jammu and Kashmir, creation of ten thousand posts for educated unemployed migrant youth.
Meanwhile Chairman Terrorism Victims Front Dilip Pandita has also demanded removal of encroachments from migrants land in Valley and punitive action against the land grabbers.
He said migrants agriculture and horticulture land has been encroached at various places in the Valley and administration is not taking concrete steps in restoring the same.
He also demanded that a concrete policy be framed for the honourable and dignified return of displaced Pandits to Valley.
