JAMMU, Nov 6: Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (Jio) has further strengthened its dominance in the Jammu & Kashmir service area, including Ladakh, by adding 40,000 new mobile subscribers in September 2025, according to the latest telecom subscription data released by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).
The data highlights Jio as the only telecom operator to record a positive subscriber addition during the month, while other service providers witnessed stagnation or decline.
Reliance Jio is the only operator to add mobile subscribers in the service area in the month of September.
In the same period, Bharti Airtel, Vodafone Idea and BSNL lost 36 thousand, 46 hundred, 37 hundred mobile subscribers, respectively.
Jio achieved a subscriber base of more than 52 lakhs in the Wireless (Mobile) segment as on 30th September 2025, cementing Jio’s position as a preferred telecom brand in J&K.
The total Wireless (Mobile) subscriber number in J&K is approximately 1.27crore as on 30th September 2025.
A key factor contributing to Jio’s rapid growth in the service area is its robust and largest 4G and True 5G network, covering 91% of the population.
Most of its sites are on fibre, which leads to nearly unlimited data carrying capacity, which is multi-fold higher than its competitors.
It is worth mentioning here that Reliance Jio dominated the net addition in wireless (mobile) by adding 1.59 lakh and 57 thousand subscribers in July and August 2025, respectively.
