JAMMU, Oct 5: BJP J&K vice president, Rekha Mahajan has emphasized that the Atmanirbhar Bharat campaign is not only about economic growth but also about instilling a sense of pride, responsibility, and collective efforts among citizens, encouraging everyone to embrace Swadeshi products and support homegrown businesses.
Rekha Mahajan was speaking as the main speaker at the workshop organized as part of the ongoing “Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan”, today at Alora village, Sohanajan Panchayat in Phallian Mandal under the Mandal president, Amarjeet Kour to promote the spirit of self-reliance and encourage the use of Swadeshi products.
The event was attended by a large number of locals, BJP workers, and community representatives.
In her address, Rekha Mahajan emphasized the need to strengthen the vision of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s Atmanirbhar Bharat Mission by adopting and promoting locally made goods.
She said, “Self-reliance begins at home. When every household supports Swadeshi products, we not only boost our local economy but also honour the hard work and creativity of our country’s entrepreneurs and artisans. Atmanirbhar Bharat is not just a campaign-it is a movement of national pride and economic empowerment.”
Rekha Mahajan also honoured local artists for their contributions to culture and creativity, acknowledging their role in preserving traditional crafts and promoting the idea of economic self-sufficiency through local talent.
The workshop aimed to spread awareness among the people about the benefits of adopting self-reliance in daily life, especially through the use of Indian-made products and small-scale entrepreneurship.
The event was coordinated by Atmanirbhar Bharat Programme convener and general secretary, Bunty Sharma, co-convener, Pallavi Verma, and former Sarpanch Balbir Singh. The entire Phallian Mandal team, along with booth presidents and numerous party workers, participated in the programme.
The workshop concluded with a collective resolve to promote the Swadeshi spirit and work together toward a self-reliant and prosperous India.
